Zach and Amaron's wedding at The Fields of Blackberry Cove was everything you dream of for a fall celebration. As a wedding photographer, these moments are what I live for. The stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the rustic charm of the venue, and most importantly, the radiant joy shared between Zach and Amaron – it was pure magic.
From the moment I arrived, the energy was palpable. Amaron, with her infectious smile, nervously got her hair and makeup done while surrounded by her bridesmaids. Zach, caring and collected, shared joyful moments with his groomsmen. The ceremony itself was breathtaking. The vows they exchanged were deeply personal and moving, bringing smiles to the eyes of everyone present. The light was perfect, the setting was idyllic, and the love between Zach and Amaron was the most beautiful thing of all.
I captured stunning portraits amidst the beautiful mountain view. The rolling hills of Blackberry Cove provided a picturesque canvas for their love story. The reception was a joyous affair, filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. I remember capturing a particularly beautiful moment of Zach dancing with his mother, her eyes filled with pride. The joy in the room was contagious. It was a perfect day, a perfect celebration. Just seven days later, the unthinkable happened. Hurricane Helene unleashed its fury on the Asheville area. The devastation was immense. Homes were destroyed, lives were lost. And among those lost were several members of Amaron's family. The joy of their wedding week was replaced with unimaginable grief. It was difficult to reconcile the beauty of their wedding with the tragedy that followed.
As their photographer, I’m left with these images, these precious memories of a perfect day. They are a testament to the love that Zach and Amaron share, a love that now must sustain them through this incredibly difficult time. My heart aches for them, and for everyone affected by this devastating storm. I hope that these photos, these glimpses of happiness, can offer them some comfort in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
